Here is a little bit about me.
My name is Tom Huber and my Amateur radio call is WD0BFO. I live in Bellevue NE.
I was created in 1949 in So Bend IN,
married in 1969 and transplanted here in 1974 by the USAF and stayed in NE after 13 years in the USAF. In the USAF I was
a radio/tty operator 6 years on ground and 7 years airborne. I got out of service in 1981 got my degree in Business Admin
with minors in accounting and computer science. I retired in Aug of 2014 from a career in accounting, after my wife was
diagnosed with lung cancer. So I spend most of the time taking care of her and playing with radio & computer, oh that is
after I clean the house do the yard & shopping take her for her appointments and do the cooking.
I am a long time member of the Bellevue ARC and have held every office in the club many years.
I am Secretary
Treasurer for 3900 Club. I enjoy bicycling and walking when I can get out. My station on Welcome page is TS590S (right) and
TS440 (left). Antennas are Inv V on HF and on 6M is vertical and 3 element yagi. Various 2M rigs around and going to Comet
dual band antenna. I am Usually on the following frequencies 147.39 (+)/442.475 (+) (with 100 PL on input only) or 146.48 (simplex)
I enjoy ragchewing and digital modes centering around PSK/SSB. Enjoy time on 80,10,30,40,6 and call a number of the nets see
